Enjoy an evening of yummy desserts and amazing views of the night sky. They do their best with it, but it’s still a chill party on floating Disney transportation. 😂 It’s still quite fun but not as much ambiance as, say, a dedicated viewing area on land could be.
Here’s how it works! And it’s less expensive than you would think!
The Happily Ever After soundtrack will be playing on the boat as guests watch the fireworks. Guests will receive a souvenir acrylic palette plate and glow glass. A few times a week, you can set sail to enjoy delicious desserts at the same time as watching the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon. Your check in will be at the Ticket and Transportation centre. From here you’ll board one of the Disney World ferries such as the general Joe Potter.
Why We Love California Grill as The Best Place to Watch Magic Kingdom Fireworks
For example, if you were planning on booking the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party for your family, that will cost you $99 per adult. A Specialty Fireworks Cruise starts at $399 per night (that varies depending on the season - the number of people in your group doesn’t affect the rate at all) and that price covers a party of up to 10 guests. If you’ve got the cash to blow, we think you’ll enjoy the experience.
What is the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise and where is it located?
Disney owns approximately 27 pontoon boats and 1 very fancy Grand Yacht that can be chartered by guests each evening for the fireworks show. Also, be sure to stake out a spot to view the fireworks ASAP! We recommend grabbing a plate then cozying up to a railing somewhere to nibble while you wait. There was also PhotoPass available before and during the cruise, but it wasn’t included in the price of admission unless you already have Memory Maker. Inside, it was your standard Disney ferry, with mostly standing room and a handful of seats.
Why Should You Choose a Disney Fireworks Cruise?
There were foods from each hotel on Seven Seas Lagoon, cute Mickey Balloon tarts, a Cinderella slipper, as many Mickey bars as you could eat, and more. Magic Kingdom offers a wide variety of ways and locations to enjoy their famous Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular. California Grill offers one of the best fireworks dining experiences on property, especially compared to the other monorail resorts like Polynesian Village Resort and the Grand Floridian. These spots in Frontierland will give you beautiful views of the fireworks reflecting off the river without the booms of the fireworks or ridiculous crowds. A magical show of fireworks, projections and memorable special effects.
Best Places to Watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks in 2024 (With the Most Amazing View!)
These are currently Harmonious at Epcot, or Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom. A Disney fireworks cruise is a magical way to see the fireworks shows from a different angle. Imagine sitting in the middle of Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake on a pontoon boat watching the sky above you light up with the amazing Disney fireworks displays. There is also the ability to have synchronised audio on the boat, so you can enjoy the full experience. Your Ferryboat cruise sets out on the Seven Seas Lagoon, where you will enjoy spectacular views of Happily Ever After. Throughout your evening, you can dine on international cheeses and decadent desserts.
Electrical Water Pageant Viewing
” Your pirate guides arrive for the evening, Patch and also a second Patch. These two lively pirates are great pirate hosts for the evening. After greeting you they open up the dessert and snacks buffet filled for hungry pirates.
Fireworks Cruise at Disney World’s EPCOT
I would not really suggest watching behind the statue, where you will be close to the castle. Finally, there will be very loud noises from the fireworks back here, so if you have sensory issues, this may not be the best spot. Leaving from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, our journey took us past Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian Resort, Fort Wilderness and The Grand Floridian.
Gem Mining Experience: A Fort Wilderness Hidden Gem!
This option is available nightly and check in is an hour prior to the fireworks. There will also be sparkling specialty drinks themed to the fireworks and alcoholic options for the grown ups. Harmonious cruises depart from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. You then travel to the International Gateway near World Showcase Lagoon to watch the amazing nighttime show. While you are snacking on pirate treats, Captain Hook and Mr.Smee arrive for everyone to have a chance to take pictures with before heading out to the boats. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee will walk down to the docks with you, but they do not board the boats.
Before leaving you will line up in two groups according to your assigned boat. One lucky pre-selected pirate for each boat will be assigned an important pirate job official boat flag holder for the evening! They will lead the way with Patch and Hook, or Patch and Smee, out to the docks. On nights when the Electrical Water Pageant‘s schedule overlaps with the Ferrytale Fireworks Cruise, as long as the waters are safe, you’ll be positioned in a great spot to watch it before the fireworks begin. Although watching the fireworks from within Magic Kingdom can be incredible, the crowds can be overwhelming and stressful.
Cotton Candy, ice cream, cake, drinks, small snacks like pretzels and chips, and of course a whole treasure chest filled with gold doubloons, chocolate in currency. Upon arrival you are assigned to be on the Smee boat or the Hook boat. Everyone in your party receives a special Pirates and Pals bandana. It is requested you wear this so they can know you are part of the crew. Arriving at the recommended time for the evening will give you plenty of time to complete a Pirate Scavenger Hunt in Disney’s Contemporary Resort!
It was a puffed pastry shell filled with vanilla pastry cream crusted in red cherry-flavored sugar. However, instead of being a Cherry BOOM, it was more like a Cherry…boom. It just didn’t have enough filling and the cherry flavor barely there. On the back, there are Mickey lenses that turn the fireworks into Mickey shapes!
On its opening night (or reopening night), we went on this dessert cruise to see if it’s as good as we remember and if it’s worth the price. I don’t know where the time went, but it flashed past so quickly. However, before we made our way back to the Contemporary Resort, we were treated to watching the Electrical Water pageant. This nighttime water parade travels around the resorts on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon every night. There were other boats out on the water, including the Grand 1 yacht which sails from the Grand Floridian resort. The Grand 1 begins at a cost of $349 per hour, so it would be a truly special experience to be onboard this yacht.
This restaurant is coveted for its exquisite panoramic views of the lagoon, the wooded areas and Cinderella Castle. If you have crowd anxiety, I would not suggest this spot as it can get a bit congested. Otherwise, plan on grabbing your spot about 45 mins prior to showtime. This spot in particular will give you easy access to escape to either Tomorrowland or Frontierland once the fireworks end and less chance of dealing with crowds quickly and safely.

Or you can watch the fireworks and then enjoy a low wait time to access the ride immediately after the fireworks end. If you really want to attempt something magical, try riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad while the fireworks are going on. You will have less wait time and get some views of them going off as you ride. Let’s not forget about the snacks and drinks on board, as well as the amazing opportunity to see the fireworks in comfort and without the crowds. The TTC is the transportation hub for all of Walt Disney World.
But, unlike the parties that happen inside the park, this one takes place on a ferryboat that sails on the Seven Seas Lagoon just outside the entrance of Magic Kingdom. While it sounds enchanting, it doesn’t quite capture the grandeur you’d experience land-side. Reflections on the lagoon and distant firework sounds are a different experience, and not necessarily the magical one you might expect. The Ferrytale Fireworks Cruise takes place on select nights (primarily Wednesday and Friday or Saturday evenings).
